Ante

Documentary theatre/Childhoods of war | By Ivor Martinic | Directed by Guillermo Cacace

Ante turns twelve and some unresolved wounds between him and his father reappear in his family. The text by Martinic and the direction by Guillermo Cacace come together and arrive at the Teatro a Mil International Festival 2025 in what is a moving and sensitive new comedy.

During Ante's twelfth birthday, conflicts not yet spoken of between the boy and his father break out. Keeping the memory of his deceased mother alive justifies all of Ante's attempts to keep his father from rebuilding his love life. However, another twelve-year-old girl could be the reason why this family, held together by a supportive neighbor, may heal that wound yet.
