About Platea

PLATEA – Presenters’ Week is the platform of Santiago a Mil International Festival that is aimed to promote interactions and contacts between independent professionals, public or private institutions related to the production, distribution, and programming of contemporary artistic shows.

Since the creation of the Southern Cone Performing Arts Fair in 2001, Presenters’ Week, which since 2014 is called PLATEA, is today a consolidated space that every year gathers around 200 programmers from all over the world interested in watching theater, dance and music shows. Through the organization of various activities, this initiative promotes and favors the encounter and exchange of experiences with the aim of creating optimum conditions to carry out the internationalization of artistic production in the region.

After years of experience, PLATEA has become the largest exhibition platform for contemporary performing arts in Chile.

Presenters as well as agents, producers, and managers of the performing arts with interest in Latin-American productions, and cultural collaborators who are interested in exchange networks focused on the internationalization of performing arts.
